Hey Changemakers!

As many of you know, I’ve been dedicating this year to the theme of grounding and the foundations that are core to meaningful changemaking and purpose-driven work in this world.

And as part of this work, I’ve been developing workshops all year long that focus on building capacity for more meaningful, purpose-driven work and providing the tools that can really help us be effective as agents in our changemaking work.

I am so excited to share that this summer I am launching a new kind of online intensive called “From Vision to Action: Summer Changemaker Institute.”

For the past three years, I have been leading a Summer Changemakers Institute that focuses on key aspects of transformation and change. During these Institutes, we’ve explored what change means to us as individuals, how to challenge some “business as usual” assumptions, and concrete strategies to become shapers of change.

This year, I’m excited to share that I’m changing things up and focusing the Summer Institute on the theme “From Vision to Action.”

The “From Vision to Action: 2024 Summer Changemakers Institute” is a 4-part online workshop where where we will learn about human-centered strategies that can effectively drive forward meaningful change, come up with a vision statement for ourselves rooted in a set of core values, and leave the Institute with a specific and strategic plan of action for implementation.

During a series of four interactive, discussion-based online workshops (held on Zoom), we are going to:

• Learn about the latest research on relational thinking, radical empathy, and collective action

• Explore practical tools to put these ideas into action in your work

• Identify key changes you can make in your own organization and work practice, and ways to address common barriers to change

• Grow your support network to catalyze collective action

• Develop a vision statement and create a detailed plan for implementation

My goal for the Summer Institute is to create an online community where we can get to know each other and learn from one another, so the registration is capped at around 20.

This year’s Summer Institute also has an early registration discount (use the code: EARLYBIRD) if you register by June 28.

The Summer Institute is designed to serve the needs of anyone working in nonprofits or museums — or in a related field like consulting. Early career professionals, those in leadership positions, as well as volunteers are all welcome.

Reminder: we capping registration at around 20, so we can focus on getting to know and learn from each other, and build a core community that we can stay connected with after the workshop ends.
