"Making Change Happen" Workshop This Wednesday!
The next "Making Change Happen" Workshop is this Wedneday, April 3rd! Learn more about the "zine" workbook you'll get when you sign up.
Hey Changemakers!
The next “Making Change Happen” workshop is happening Wednesday, April 3, and I want to spend some time today sharing more about the workbook I’ve created to go with these workshops.
First, as a reminder - “Making Change Happen” is a 2-hour online workshop that’s designed as a hands-on look at how to be an effective changemaker in your work.
Together as a group, we go through a series of exercises and reflections, sharing and discussing with each other how to apply them to our work.
The workshop registration is $49. Students registration is $39 (use the discount code STUDENT when you sign up).
You can also find more details about the structure of the workshop in this post from a couple weeks ago.
More about the “Making Change Happen” Zine Workbook
One of my favorite features of the “Making Change Happen” workshop is the zine-like workbook that I’ve created to use alongside the exercises we work through as a group.
The first time I ever offered my “Making Change Happen” workshop about 7 years ago, I designed a little photocopied zine to accompany the workshop. It had some prompts, exercises, quotes, fun graphics, and a sparkly silver cover (!). Ever since then, participants in this workshop always love having this workbook. It’s really a toolkit for developing a change practice and becoming your own Agent of Change.
My current workbook includes 6 strategies that are the building blocks of becoming a changemaker, along with a few inspirational quotes from visionaries like Alicia Garza, adrienne maree brown, and John O’Donohue.
Everyone who registers for our current “Making Change Happen” workshops gets a digital copy of this workbook, using it in the workshop and afterwards to guide their thinking, reflection, and work to build towards action. I know that many people will take the workbook (or even pieces of it) back to their teams, which is always amazing to hear about. It is an artifact of the process and the learning that takes place in these workshops.
Reminders of Dates & Discounts
This Wednesday, April 3, marks the second of three available times to register for the workshop. The workshop will be held from 3-5 pm Eastern (12-2 pm Pacific). Registration is still open for this week’s workshop.
I’m also offering it again later in the spring on May 21, at an earlier time of day that accommodates European time zones (10am-12pm Eastern/ 3-5pm London).
It’s also important to note that students should use the code STUDENT to sign up at a discount rate of $39.
After you sign up for the workshop, you’ll receive a Zoom link, follow-up details, and a digital copy of the workbook.
Are you ready to build your practice and skills as an agent of change? We’d love to have you in one of these workshops!
Quick Reminder: “Community Centered Engagement” Spring Intensive starts next Wednesday, April 10
I also want to share a quick reminder about the first-ever Community-Centered Engagement Intensive, which starts on next Wednesday, April 10! We have an amazing group signed up so far for this 3-part online Intensive.
And as always, if you have any scheduling conflicts, or if you have any other questions at all, please feel free to contact me at murawski27@gmail.com.
I understand how challenging busy schedules can be, and have already planned to build in time for an additional check-in for anyone who has to miss a session.
Thanks everyone! Here’s to a great spring of learning and growth!
